1973 Porsche 911 With a Powerful 3.6L Flat-Six Engine


Gary Dielacher from GD Racing in San Bruno, California, built this 1973 Porsche 911E. The sports car is equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine from a 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera. It’s paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a ZF limited-slip differential. The suspension includes Bilstein HD and Bilstein Sport front shocks, as well as 1976 Carrera aluminum trailing arms. The car features Fikse/Zuffenhaus wheels (measuring 17×9 and 17×11 inches) and brakes from a 944 Turbo in the front and a 1986 Carrera in the back. To reduce weight, the car has polycarbonate windows, a carbon fiber central roof panel, and an engine lid. The doors, fenders, and bumpers are made of fiberglass. The car weighs about 1994 pounds.
