Exploring Richard Rawlings’ Mega Everything Must Go Auction: A Closer Look at the Car Collection

You might have missed the news recently, but Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey Garage fame is selling his entire collection including some amazing classic cars. No really, everything is going. The famed car collector, YouTuber and former Fast ‘N Loud host has decided the time has come to off-load what he currently has, and then build up an entirely new car collection. This has not been an easy decision, but Rawlings thinks the time has come to finally get some new cars that he has always wanted into the garage.

The cars are getting sold with the help of Bring a Trailer over the course of one day, and he has been documenting what cars are getting sold over the platform and some of the stories each car has. An earlier video looked at some of the cars, but Rawlings has now brought us a second video that goes into the other half of the collection, and we are going to take a look at some of the cars he has gone through in this second video to examine some of the highlights of the collection.

Starting Out With A Ford Mustang

The first car that Rawlings starts off with is a 1966 Ford Mustang GT, white with red interior and red stripes. It has the trumpet exhaust in the rear and GT badging all over it, and one major boost is that this car also comes with air conditioning. A guy got in touch with Rawlings about this car and told him his had had bought this car new with his high school graduation money, and it remained with him until he passed away, and his son then sold it to Rawlings, despite Rawlings hoping the son would keep it in the family.

Next up we get a look at the 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch RTR Edition that Rawlings only got a few months back. When he says it is new, he means it, as it has practically no miles on the clock, and its just spot on. Getting your hands on a fully-loaded 2022 Bronco like this with all these mods is very hard, so its quite unique when it comes to cars up for auction. This we feel is going to be a hugely popular car among the others in the auction.

Moving On To More In The Collection

Richard Rawlings Collection Sale Pt 2 1979 Porsche 928

Next up we have a stunning 1979 Porsche 928, a very early model of the 928. What makes this car, so special is that along with its posh interior, it is 100% original. It is original paint, original interior, and more, making it a very special example of the 928. In this particular color as well it is pretty rare, and it runs and drives very well. There are a couple of garage door dents in the car but that adds to the character of this machine which is still beautiful.

The next car is a 1986 Quicksilver Zimmer. This is an exceptionally good-looking car with some insane lines. These are of course Pontiac Fieros converted into the Quicksilver Zimmer, and this particular one has only 400 original miles on it and Rawlings says the car is pretty much spotless. The motor is still in the back, so there is a frunk or front truck in the hood area. It is quite a unique looking machine, and amazingly you can actually get an LS swap package for these, but this Zimmer is original and pretty much untouched from the day it was built.

Some More Stunners In The Collection

The best thing about the Rawlings collection is that the cars are so varied and different from each other. A stark contrast from the Zimmer is the 1937 Ford Model 78 5-Window Coupe, which in itself is a world away from the 1976 Jaguar XJ12L Series II Sedan, a truly stunning car that is all original including the paint and the interior, plus pretty much everything under the hood is original, including the wires. This is another car that Rawlings says runs incredibly well and would look absolutely fantastic in anyone’s collection.

A Truly Stunning Collection

We haven’t even covered half of what Rawlings is selling in this feature, and the part one video plus the preview video showcase everything else you need to know about this collection and all the other cars that are coming up for sale. To sell an entire collection is a big leap of faith for anyone, especially when you want to sell them in as little time as possible like Rawlings does. These are all truly amazing cars with interesting pasts and the fact that a lot of them are pretty much all original will only add to their value when they go up for sale in the near future
