The Irresistible Allure of Classic Fords: A Collection That Will Leave You Speechless at This Dealership

In a new video, the YouTube channel Junkyard and Barn Finds with Sean skips the usual car shows and hidden garages to uncover a treasure trove of vintage Fords.

Instead, presenter Sean Dever heads to classic car dealer Streetside Classics outside of Tampa to see what Blue Oval fans will drool over. Viewers get to see everything from a post-war Lincoln to head-turning first-generation Mustangs.

Glancing At An Amazing Shelby GT500

The opening minutes of the presentation features a most impressive Ford, a 1968 Shelby GT500 convertible. While not a KR (King of the Road) edition, its immaculate presence results from a rotisserie restoration completed in 2012.

Other standout qualities include 40,763 original miles, factory-correct Sunlit Gold Metallic paint over a black interior, and a big-block 428-cubic inch V8. A four-speed manual, power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, and a power top round out the equipment list.

The only thing not making this car 100% perfect is the replacement engine sitting under the hood. According to the accompanying documentation, the powerplant got replaced under warranty in 1969.

More Mustangs To Take In

A T-code 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop

A six-figure Shelby GT500 may not suit everyone’s budget, so Dever explores other first-generation Mustangs. For the cost of a Honda Civic, an enthusiast can choose a Candy Apple Red 1966 Mustang hardtop instead. Its T-code designation means no V8 in the engine bay, so a buyer must settle for a 200-cubic inch inline-six.

Yet, a somewhat newer Mustang could prove tempting as Dever checks out a one-owner 1993 Fox Body convertible, the last year of Ford’s third-generation pony car. The car’s noteworthy features include a gleaming Royal Blue exterior over a near-perfect gray interior. The storied 5.0-liter V8 and five-speed manual should also cause a grin or two

Heading Back Into History

A 1947 Lincoln Continental Club Coupe among other classic cars

But there’s more than Mustangs in this Ford-focused video, as Dever examines two jaw-dropping post-World War II models. A look at a 1947 Lincoln Continental Club Coupe is a trip to another era. This feeling gets reinforced by a flathead V8 and an elaborate chrome-accented dashboard.

Though a nearby 1946 Ford Deluxe Convertible might raise an eyebrow. Its Emerald Green Metallic paint is the wrapping for the surprise underneath a long hood, a Cadillac 365-cubic inch V8 that initially saw duty in a 1957 GM flagship. But besides an unconventional powerplant, this drop-top Ford is all original vintage.
