The Iconic Porsche 550 Gets a Stylish Boost with Playmate Alyssa Arce Posing Next to It

In Arsenic Magazine’s latest shooting, July 2013’s Playmate model Alyssa Arce is posing next to one of the most famous racecars in history, the Porsche 550 Spyder. The brunette hottie is wearing a red one-piece swimsuit to fit the car’s color and definitely looks like she’d need a ride.

What better way to make a legend look even better than getting a beauty pose next to it? Well, it seems auto makers are getting more and more into combining fashion with exotic cars. It’s also the case of this young lady who makes the car look marvelous the moment she poses next to. As to her career, before working with Playboy, Alyssa Arce also worked with Wilhelmina and Ford modeling agencies.

But we don’t feel like talking about fashionistas. What we do enjoy speaking of, even for hours, are all these vintage babies, and the Porsche 500 Spyder is as cool as these classics can get. Some car enthusiasts already know it as the “Little Bastard,” the model in which James Dean crashed and lost his life in 1955. There is however a lot more to talk about it.

Inspired by the Porsche 356 which was created by Ferry Porsche, and some Spyder prototypes built and raced by Walter Glockler starting in 1951, the factory decided to built a car designed for use in auto racing. The Porsche 550 Spyder became an active participant around the European and US championship circuit between 1953 and as late as 1965 starting in over 370 races. With approximately 95 overall wins along with an additional 75 class wins, the spyder dominated against more powerful cars not only in its class.

The problem is, the sportscar we’re looking at in these pictures is probably a replica. The 550 is extremly rare wich puts it among the most frequently reproduced classic automobiles
