Beethoven’s Enchanting Duet with Andrea Bocelli and His 8-Year-Old Daughter

Andrea Bocelli And her daughter perform “ich liebe dich.”

We’ve seen Andrea Bocelli perform on the biggest of stages. We’ve also seen him duetting with Superstars and his own family members, including his daughter. However, it was a very special moment for the tenor singer when his daughter joined him to accompany him on the piano.

In this heartwarming video, the father and daughter duo perform a song by Beethoven called “Ich liebe dich,” which translates to “Tender Love.”. Andrea explains at the beginning of the video that through the time they spent at home during 2020, they used this time well to practice music together.

As Andrea started singing the opening line to Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Herrosee’s poem, his daughter began to play the piano like the young professional she is.

The video was first aired on May 3, 2020, on Andrea Bocelli’s official YouTube channel. “Little Virginia has been working hard over the past few weeks to honour her obligations,” he captioned the video.

“We now present our first duet, a jewel created long ago but which remains wonderfully current, a lied that speaks of love with infinite tenderness.”

After this video was recorded, they would go on to sing Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah together; however, this is the first time Andrea’s daughter has accompanied her father using an instrument.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many videos we see from the talented family as Virginia continues to progress with her music career and follow in her father’s footsteps.
