1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop


The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop from 1957 is driven by a 283ci V8 engine paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Its exterior is in a black color scheme complemented by red and black vinyl upholstery. It is said to come with the Power Pack option, which introduced a dual exhaust system, a four-barrel carburetor, and modifications to the camshaft and cylinder heads.

Notable additional features include wind splits mounted on the hood, quarter vent windows, chrome-finished bumpers, power-assisted drum brakes, and 14″ steel wheels. The interior is equipped with a heater, a push-button radio, and a wraparound windshield and rear window. According to reports, the car was formerly located in Alabama before being relocated to Texas, where the seller purchased it in November 2022. This Tri-Five Bel Air is currently being offered for sale with a clean Texas title.

The Fisher-produced body is finished in black and features aluminum quarter panel trim inserts. Additional exterior details include a pair of hood-mounted wind splits, quarter vent windows, a wraparound windshield and rear window, and a concealed fuel filler door above the left taillight. Photos in the gallery show blemishes in the taillight trim finish. The car has reportedly been partially refinished.

Steel 14″ wheels wear faux knock-off covers and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. A full-size spare is secured in the trunk. Braking is handled by power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners.

The cabin houses a pair of bench seats trimmed in red vinyl with black patterned inserts and gold piping, which are accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and black carpeting. Appointments include a padded dashboard, a heater, a dashboard-mounted clock, a push-button radio, black rubberized floor mats, front and rear lap belts, and a storage organizer with cupholders mounted on the transmission tunnel.

The red two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a central 120-mph speedometer, which is flanked by gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.

The 283ci V8 was equipped with the Power Pack, which added a four-barrel carburetor, a dual exhaust system, and a revised camshaft and cylinder heads resulting in an uprated output of 180 horsepower when new. A two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission drives the rear wheels.
