The owner of Revology cars, Tom Scarpello, goes for a ride in the 125th car that Revology has produced. It is a 1967 Shelby GT500 with an exterior adorned in a custom Bentley Meteor Blue Metallic paint with Silver Frost LeMans stripes. The interior of the car has a Ferrari Napa leather interior.
Scarpello says Revology has improved on the original Shelby GT500. For instance, the original GT500 came with small vented side windows. The downside of these windows is that create a lot of wind noise. So Revology replaces these windows with fixed ones that do not open. That reduces wind noise and makes the Revology GT500 a better car for daily driving than the original.
The heart of this GT500 is a modern 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine found in the current Mustang GT. With the Roush Supercharger, it makes 710 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque. Available transmissions are a Tremec T-56 XL 6-speed close-ratio manual or a 10-speed automatic.
Ford And Ferrari Comparison
At one point during the video, Scarpello reminisces about the time he drove a Ferrari Modena. He says a Ferrari has a unique feel to it that is unlike driving any other car. Some people say the same thing about the first-generation Ford Mustang. It was a special car, and there is nothing else like it.
