Exceptional Opportunity: Rare Pontiac Le Mans Sport Truck for Just $69k!

Forget the Chevy El Camino, GMC Sprint, Dodge Kingsway and all the other classic coupe utility vehicles. If you want to stand out from the crowd, then this one-of-a-kind 1967 Pontiac Le Mans Sport Truck prototype is the right machine for you.

Currently advertised for a mere $69,500 (AUD 74,145), the ute you can admire in the photo gallery below is a one-off creation made possible thanks to the ambition of an unnamed Midwestern Pontiac dealer. Garnished with a Mayfair Maize exterior paint and a black leather interior, the truck only shows 34k original miles on the odometer.

This one of one prototype borrows the chassis of a 1967 Chevrolet El Camino and a suite of bits and bobs from the Pontiac Le Mans Safari wagon, including the front fascia, dashboard and driveline. Pop the hood and you’ll see an engine bay packed with 350 cubic inches (5.7 liters) of GM V8 muscle, coupled to a smooth automatic tranny.

Other features worth mentioning are the AM/FM radio, trailer hitch, tilt steering wheel, as well as the power disc brakes and steering. According to the seller, this car was owned since new by the unnamed Pontiac dealer and was featured in automotive mags such as Muscle Car Review and Pontiac Smoke Signals. Even though it’s not built on a proper assembly line, the workmanship is truly remarkable for this type of vehicle.

Don’t know about you, but $69k for an unique collectors piece is a damn good deal all things considered.
