Chevrolets compact car, the Corvair, did not live up to its expectations, GM’s void in the compact car market need to be filled, the rushed to production the Chevy II to fill the void. The cars top trim level would take on the Nova nameplate and was built with a more traditional and proven format. Front engine, and number of different power plant options from economy to high performance.

The car offered here is a true SS powered by a 283 V8, automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. The car has been the recipient of a ground up style restoration and finished in Burgundy Metallic exterior paint over Black SS interior trim. Highlights include: 3 spoke SS steering wheel, center console, bucket seats, original gauges, factory correct new seat upholstery, new carpet, new door panels, upgraded radio, upgraded front disc brakes, American Racing Torque Thrust polished aluminum wheels, SS exterior trim, factory spare and jack, etc. The paint is gorgeous, the body panel fit is excellent, the bright-work is wonderful and the car has a stunning stance.

Mechanically, the car starts right up, pulls strong, tracks straight and is a proven driver.
First Generation Chevrolet Nova’s remain extremely popular in collector car circles. Many were produced, however the survival rate was low. For this reason, quality examples as the one offered here are few and far between.
