Dogs are known for their unwavering loyalty to their human and animal companions, and a recent incident further proves this.
A stray dog refused to leave the side of her best friend who was hit by a car, even when rescue workers arrived to help. The injured dog, named “Soul,” had a fellow stray dog friend who was named “Heart.”
The rescue workers had to reassure Heart that they were there to help, and they took Soul to a shelter. Unfortunately, Soul’s injuries were too severe and he could not be saved. Heart remained by Soul’s side until the very end.
The shelter is now planning to create a pendant for Heart’s collar that will hold some of Soul’s ashes so she can carry her friend with her always.
Although both dogs were strays, the shelter has taken Heart in and promised to give her the love and care she deserves. Soul’s love and devotion to his friend has touched many, and Heart’s strength and loyalty is admired.
