A girl found Bally at the base of the overpass; after feeding her and calling for help, we brought Bally home and gradually discovered the brave girl’s life’s history.
She prevailed in the face of all odds and returned home to live with me and her friends. Joy grinned at this amazing girl.

The same thing happened with the cat I rescued; I gave her some food to eat on the sidewalk and petted her back as she ate.
She gave me a look that broke my heart: She had the words “I’ve never been shown affection before,” “Today she sleeps in my bed, is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, etc.” written in her eyes.
